Hello! I am Nik and this is my London, and further beyond, gastropub blog.

I am usually criticised for being too wordy and long winded – this About section was originally 1,000 words – but I gather you are not here to read War & Peace but because you are a foodie like me – I am Mediterranean and food is my life – and like exploring new places.

I fell in love with gastropubs after I was introduced to them by my other half, K, in 2006. The first introduction was the Cow in Notting Hill and since then I have explored many more, both good and bad. Thankfully London is very kind to us and more and more new places appear on a regular basis.

The blog lists pubs that I have visited over the years with brief reviews – not a food critique – from my recent visits. So if there is no review I have not visited that pub recently. It also lists pubs that I am planning to visit!

I hope you enjoy the journey as much as I do and that I inspire you to try new places!
